Overview

See Universe (“we”, “the app”) is operated by the developer of this application. We designed the app to work without collecting your personal information.

What we do not collect

We do not require an account.

We do not collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, or precise location.

We do not use advertising identifiers or sell your data.

We do not run in-app analytics or behavioral tracking for marketing.

What the app does on your device

The app displays public astronomy content (NASA APOD, Mars rover imagery, exoplanet catalogs) fetched from our API and public scientific sources.

Language preference and similar settings are stored locally on your device only.

If you save a planet share image, the app may request access to your photo library solely to save that image on your device. We do not upload your photos to our servers.

Server interactions

When you use features such as “settle on a planet”, the app may send anonymous requests to increment or decrement a public counter for that planet. These requests do not include your identity.

Standard technical data (such as IP address and request time) may be processed by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) to deliver the service and protect against abuse, as described in their policies.

Third-party content

Images and scientific data may be served from NASA and other public archives. Those services have their own terms and policies.

Children

The app is suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
