Service description

See Universe provides access to public astronomy imagery and catalog data, including NASA’s Astronomy Picture of the Day, Mars rover photos, and exoplanet information.

The app is provided for personal, non-commercial educational and entertainment use unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Data and accuracy

Content is sourced from NASA and other public scientific archives. We strive for accuracy but do not guarantee completeness, timeliness, or fitness for any particular purpose.

Scientific counts, habitability hints, and simulated planet images are illustrative and not professional advice.

No affiliation

See Universe is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by NASA or any government agency.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app or our API, including attempting to disrupt the service, scrape at abusive rates, or use the app in violation of applicable law.

Intellectual property

NASA media and many catalog data are generally available under U.S. public-domain or open policies; respective credits and usage rules apply.

App design, branding, and original text belong to the developer unless otherwise noted.
